2004 Vacation Bible School
June 19, 2004

Each summer, the church in Purcellville hosts a one-day vacation bible school for all the children in the congregation and the local community. The children have a blast while learning about God. This year was no exception. Our 2004 VBS theme was "Discovering Bible Treasures".

		We got cool t-shirts. Of course, some were a bit on the large side...
		We had a puppet show, introducing our VBS theme. This year's puppeteers were Kirk, 5th grade, and Katie, 4th grade.
		We had prayer, and then the children sang some favorite songs, including "Father Abraham".

We had Bible classes for ages 1 through the 6th grade. We learned that the Bible is God's word and is a treasure all by itself! We also learned about the special treasures we find inside the Bible like love, joy, peace, grace, forgiveness, and eternal life in Jesus.

We had snacks in class.

The kids did a great job decorating their treasure chests!

We had a special surprise this year -- a TREASURE hunt at our new building site!!!

Everyone had a great time, including the adults. Of course, some had a bit more day than did others... Then it was time to go have lunch... and a nap!
