April 2001

This month we discuss the assembly of the saints. We are instructed by the Lord not to forsake the assembly of our congregation of Christians in Hebrews 10:25. While this is indeed a commandment of God and therefore must be followed to receive His grace, we should want to assemble every chance we get.

Comments on Hebrews 10:25
Once you have heard the gospel and believe it, We must stop doing that which is wrong and start doing that which is right (Acts 17:30-31). This must be done in every area of our lives.
Want-To-Religion and Church Attendance
Louis Rushmore is a preacher and an instructor at the West Virginia School of Preaching in Moundsville, West Virginia. He has written several sound articles on various topics. We have included his thoughtful essay on church attendance here. In it, he discusses the dedication of the 1st century Christians in attending worship simply because they wanted to. It should not be a burden to attend worship if we are truly to call ourselves Christians.
